  • We understand that the construction of any large-scale project will have impacts. Local communities may be interested in increases in construction noise and traffic. We will adhere to the legally acceptable noise levels in the community and only operate noisy equipment during the day. The project is expected to cause only minor traffic disruptions.

We are grateful for the community's patience during this time. Once the project is operational, the noise and traffic will be minimal. We understand that this project could cause minor disruptions and would like to thank the community by sharing the benefits of the project, which we’ll share more information about soon.

  • As part of the approvals process, we have undertaken several studies and assessments to ensure the Summerfield Battery does not impact important ecological biodiversity.

The project supports renewable energy use which is ultimately positive for the environment and helps protect biodiversity.

  • We are committed to giving back to the local community through shared benefits. These will be tailored to and developed in collaboration with the community. The project will also boost the local economy through local employment and investment, and sponsorship opportunities.

  • The project has begun engagement with the First Nations Peoples that live in the local community. We have been careful to run the appropriate cultural heritage assessments to make sure that the project will not take place on or disrupt any sacred sites, and there are processes around investigating any unexpected finds during construction.
